EAST MEADOW SENIOR LEAGUE (PONY DIVISION)
SUPPLEMENTAL PLAYING RULES

    1)      Only team players, the manager and two coaches are permitted in the dugout area           

2)      Rain outs will be called by the umpire.  Player Agent to be notified of the make-up.  No games may be rescheduled without player agent consent.  All rain out games will be made up with an E. M. league umpire.

3)      Starting time for weekday evening games is 5:30PM unless otherwise specified Weekend games start as shown on schedule.  Forfeit time is 20 minutes after the scheduled starting time.

4)      There is free substitution for fielders after each completed inning or in the event of an injury.  However a pitcher may not re-enter as a pitcher.

5)      All uniform shirts must be tucked in and a team cap must be worn.

6)      Helmets (90 mph) must be worn by batter, base runners, and player coaches.

7)      Consecutive (or Marathon) batting order will be used.  If both teams have ten or more players, both teams must use consecutive batting.  If one team has 8 or 9 players the team with more than 9 players may use a lineup with as few as 9 batters substituting to use 11 player.  Once a player is removed he may not reenter the game.

8)      Each player must play two innings and have one chance at bat.  This must be completed by the 5th inning.

9)      The pitching week runs from Sunday to Saturday.  A maximum of 10 innings may be pitched during any week.

10)  There shall be a ten run rule.  In that the game will be terminated immediately if favor of any team that leads by 10 runs, so long as the trailing team has batted 5 full at bats.

11)  For week-end games, no inning may start after two hours and fifteen minutes from the game’s start time.

12)  The bat may not be more than 34” in length, nor more than 2 ¾ in diameter.  The difference between the length of the bat in inches, and the weight of the bat in ounces must be equal to or less than five.

13)  Scores must be reported by both the winning and losing managers.
